Atlanta was a success! God was faithful as usual! He’s doing great things at NorthStar church. If you live in their area, that’s the place to be! They have a sweet fellowship there. The love for God’s Word was both amazing and refreshing. I’m going to keep my eye on them to see what God is going to do!
My mom and sister accompanied me on the trip. I figured the best way to relieve stress is to shop till you drop with your girlfriends! Atlanta is a great place to catch up on the cutting edge styles. I’m not sure I can wear all those styles, but they were fun to see!
If I ever doubted God’s protecting presences in my life before this road trip, I’m convinced of it now. My sister, who is a great driver, drove. However, we did get lost once and made a few U-turns that caused me to hold my breath, but the most amazing thing she did was drive in the darkness for half an hour without head lights! It’s not that they were broken, she just didn’t turn them on. Her lights come on automatic so naturally she assumed the lights on our rented car did too. It wasn’t until she used the blinker to change lanes that we discovered we were driving under cover. “Wow!” she said as she turned the blinker on. “That’s one powerful light bulb. It lit up the whole sky!” she added. Then, after a few minutes of silence, it hit her–we were driving in the night without our head lights on—in rush hour traffic! Yikes!
We were astonished that we were not run over by a tractor truck or side swiped by a speeding car. We were, indeed, being protected as if we were under cover—the covering of the Lord! I kept thinking about the verse…and there is no darkness to God. Other drivers may not have been able to see us, but God could and He protected us all the way.
We had not only prayed for God to use me to minister to the hearts of the women in Ga, but for traveling mercies as well and God was faithful in every request. It wasn’t that we felt His presence, it was a confidence that came by faith. As we drew near to Him, He drew near to us. His presence was with us the entire time–guiding us, protecting us, and empowering us to do what He sent us to do.
The road trip was a sweet reminder of God’s faithfulness when we pray and draw near to Him asking for what only He can provide. Every moment was the assurance that God not only hears our prayers, but He promises “I will be with you always.”

I am so glad that your trip to Atlanta was fruitful. I have heard you speak a coupla times, so I knew it could be no other way! The story of God’s protection while driving with no headlights in rush hour traffic: you were covered in prayer, girl! Thank the Lord, thank the Lord. Blessings to you!
