Happy Friday, Friends!
I’m on my way with my assistant, Sue, to Magnolia, AR where I’ll be speaking at an all day conference on Finding a Faith Stronger Than All Our Fear!
Before I go, I wanted to leave you with this thought.
“Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust.” 2 Pet. 1:4
How cool is that?!! We have in us God’s divine nature, gals! That’s means we can be victorious over doubt, fear, worry, and sin of any kind. How…through a surrendered heart that yields itself to God’s promise and provision.
My life verse is Gal 2:20 which says, “I have been crucified with Christ. I no longer live but Christ lives in me and the life I live now I live by faith in Him who died for me.”
When we do that then, Christ is free to occupy all. You see, Christ doesn’t make us better. He makes an exchange. He exchanges all our junk for His very life. We do get better at being patient because we receive Christ’s patience. We receive his faith, his joy, his life.
If you and I want more Christ..more of his divine nature–then we must surrender more. Only then is Christ able to do in you and me what we couldn’t do before. It works like this:
You may not be able to live within your marriage, but Christ in you can. You may not be able to raise that strong will child, but Christ in you can. You may not be able to conquer that temptation or sin, but Christ through a surrendered heart can!
You and I have this power to live in this way through God’s Son and our Savior! Praise His Name!
The truths of God are not just church talk, they are a reality. I want the world to know that in Christ is everything they need. That’s why I do what I do—travel and speak truth into the hearts of others. Please join me in praying for those who will hear His truth this month, and if you can, JOIN ME!!
On March 20-21st I’ll be in Nashville, Indiana speaking again on Fear vs Faith. You can contact Debbie at Debbie@greenwoodchurch.com
On March the 28th, I’ll be in Buckhannon, WV. This conference is focused on HOPE! We are facing hard times individually and as a nation right now. There’s never been a better time to hear this message than now. If you can join us, contact Pam at Plloyd8691@aol.com
Have a safe and blessed weekend, ya’ll!
Angie says
A surrendered heart…that is exactly what I need! Just throw my hands up as to surrender because I can’t do this alone. Surrender to God, to take my heart now and remold it how He wants it to be. Surrender my feet,to allow Him to guide me where He wants me to walk. Surrender my eyes, to allow me to see what He has promised me. Surrender my ears, to let me hear what He wants to tell me and has longed to tell me for so long. Surrender my arms, to accept the love and comfort from others during this journey that I am just beginning.
It all begins in our hearts and I am praying now for a surrendered heart.
