Many of you have written and asked me for verses on overcoming fear. The bible is packed with encouragement. In fact, when you and I take time to know God’s Word, we are able face life, adversity, and fear with hope and confidence. The Scriptures were written for our instruction and encouragement. So be encouraged today as you meditate on these promises.
Peace,
Micca

“For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!'” Romans 8:15
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”Ps 91:1
“He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you.” Ps 91: 4-7
“No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.”Ps 91:10-11
“Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” Proverbs 3:25-26
“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you.” Isaiah 54:14
“In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?”Ps 56:11
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.”Ps 23:4-5
“For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, ‘FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.’But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”John 14:27
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread? Though a host encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, in spite of this I shall be confident.”Ps 27:1;3
“So that we confidently say, ‘THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?'”Hebrews 13:6

Micca,
LOVE these verses. For years, they were my lifelines to God. I experienced the reality of these verses in my life…they came alive and freed me from the prison of fear in which I lived for over a decade. Thank you for sharing the KEY to unlocking the prison of fear that imprisons so many of us.
Love you,
Wendy

I’m going through a devotional called “365 Days of Fear Not” that has helped keep me focused on what the Lord says about fear and His care for me. I love praying scripture back to God and meditating on what He says.

Micca,
Thank you so much for this post. It was exactly what I needed right now. There are circumstances in my life that are so fearful and so out of my control. It is a daily battle, sometimes I feel like Job, just when i think all is well and I am walking forward another blow comes. God has spoken courage, love and grace to me by this post. Thank you for having a heart that listens and responds to him.
In Him,
Tina
