Well, girls. We had some brave “rednecks” that weren’t afraid to tell on themselves! I’m so glad you did. It made me feel much better about myself!
Each time I read a comment, I thought to myself “Nobody can top that!” But then, the next person did! This made it very difficult to pick a “redneck” winner. So, I had my daughter write down your names and draw a winner out of a coffee mug. Who did she choose?
The winner is Bridget! Congrats!! Just think, now you can tell everyone you know that you’re queen of the “Rednecks.” On second thought, you might want to keep that just between us girls.
I had such great fun with my top 10 list that I decided to do another one.
Here’s My Top 10 List of…the most misconceptions about God.
10. God is out to get me
9. Cleanliness is next to Godliness
8. God is too busy running the world to care about my troubles
7. Every Sunday I miss church, God takes a day off of my life
6. God is religious
5. God heals some but not all
4. God has favorites
3 God doesn’t answer all prayers
2 God owes me
1 Suicide is an unpardonable sin
(The only unforgiveable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Matt 12: 31,32; Mark 3:29, 30).
What are some of your misconceptions about God and how did you come to know truth?!

My daughter will be thrilled! Today is her birthday, so I think I’ll suprise her with this honor.
As for the misconceptions of God, I thought about one the other day. A couple of years ago, I was leading a Bible Study that I wrote. (MIRACLE!) Sometime in the midst of it, I began to understand the Omni-ness of God. What I would begin to call is All-ness. The reality that all of God, all that He is, all that He has is with me all the time. And he’s with you too, all of Him, all the time. In my mind, I had somehow come to believe that if God was blessing you with something I wanted, or working in your life, that He couldn’t bless me with that or be with me simultaneously. It’s seems so crazy now, but it had really limited my faith.
