Hello friends,
I’ve been so busy preparing for She Speaks, our annual Proverbs 31 Conference and for Hitomi to arrive from Japan, that I’m late on posting today. Isn’t that what happens when life is heavy? We’re often late, tried, and second guessing ourselves. Yet, I’ve learned that anything we do for Kingdom purposes is worth the outcome! So…press on, friend!
Don’t limit Kingdom work, my friends. It consists of more than a Christian conference. It’s housing an exchange student. It’s forgiving that hard to deal with person one more time. It’s paying your bills. It’s getting the mail for your neighbor on vacation even when you couldn’t take one this year and you’re green with envy.
I realize that for some of you the journey has been long—much like Joseph’s in my devotion today. Some of you have lost loved ones and it’s hard to go on. Others have sacrificed to help a family member. Some of you have shoulder burdens that would crush most. You have bills that outnumber our paychecks and burdens that outweigh your strength.
And you can’t go on any longer. You’re tried, broken, and hopeless.
Been there, and have wanted to give up to.
Trust me on this one. Keep pressing forward. Keep moving on the path ahead of you. Christ never promised you and I we would be without trouble. He did promise to deliver us in it. Did you catch that?
Christ doesn’t deliver us from trouble, but in it. And the end result is always worthwhile.
Here are some promises of God to cling to along your journey:
“I will be glad in the day of trouble for you have considered my trouble; you know my soul in adversities” (Ps 3 1:7)
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth” (Ps 121: 1,2)
“For we do not have a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”(Hebrews 5:15)
“Let us come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
Peace, my friends

Thank you so much for the inspirational words that God gives you! there are many days when I wonder if God had not delivered me from the life I was in what would have happened to me? BUT I am so thankful that I do NOT have to find that out! I am thankful for God's faithfulness and for his forgiveness! He is awesome and I know that all I have to do is call on him. I might not always get the answers I want BUT I know his plan is better than any plan I could ever come up with! Thanks again and God Bless you each day!

Micca,
We Met last year at the retreat in Texas fro the First Presbyterian Church of Midland. Again, you were great and really spoke to me. Being a widow has been hard for me, but I see God using me in his kingdom. I was in Uganda, Africa in June witnessing for God. One lady I met was a widow also. We talked and shared. Then she accepted Christ as her savior. God uses what we think of as bad for good every day if we walk with Him.

Micca, I am reading this devotional a day late, but it is oh-so-timely for me. I'm sure our God meant for me to read it today. It touched my heart in exactly the spot that I have been struggling with this past week. This morning I started to get myself back into right thinking through reading the Word, and now your devotional affirms for me that I am going in the right direction. I have learned that we can be assured that the Lord is giving us a message when we begin to hear the same thing from several sources. Thank you, Micca, for being one of those sources for me. I am praying for all of you involved in SheSpeaks! God bless!

I was in your "Fear Not" class at She Speaks and I want to thank you for allowing the Lord to speak through you. Isaiah 41:10 is the very verse the Lord gave me to be praying as I prepared for the conference! It blew me away that He had prepared you to speak on that very verse!!
You blessed me that day and your blog blesses me with your words too. Thank you! Many blessings to you as you continue to pursue Him!
PS. I was hoping to win your book that day…but alas, God had picked another lady. I'm sure it blessed her! 🙂 I hope to get it soon. My man has been out of work for 7 months, so we are being tight with $, but I look forward to the opportunity to read it soon!~
