Here’s a thought to consider over your weekend. People are hurting and they need our compassion.
Yet, People rarely share their pain with others. They suffer in silence because they fear being judged instead of being loved. What a shame. A shame I’m probably guilty of too. But God is changing my heart. People need compassion.
Jesus was a man of compassion. The Bible tells us, “His compassions fail not” (Lamentations 3:22). “But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth” (Psalm 86:15).
Compassion is more than just sympathy. It’s more than being moved by emotion. True compassion DOES something. It gets involved. It’s helps. It’s holds. It listens. It’s stays when no one else will. Mostly, it doesn’t judge.
I believe if we would offer compassion to others instead of finding fault, marriages would be restored, wayward children would come home, and lives would be changed.
Maybe you need compassion today. I understand and would love to pray for you. Just leave your prayer request in the comment section. And remember God has not forgotten you. He sees you. He loves you. He is working on your behalf. Here’s the thing. Believing these truths brings peace to your heart even in your darkest days.
On the other hand, if you’re in a good place let’s be people of compassion to those around us who need some kindness and understanding. God has placed people in your life who need a helping hand. What a privilege it is to be the hand of Jesus to those who are hurting.
Have a great weekend!!
