Where to start??? It was a GLORIOUS weekend. Women filled the halls as they rushed from one session to the next filling their toolboxes with the tools they need to fulfill their calling. Women would stop me and share, “This is the best conference I’ve ever been too. I’ll definitely be back next year!” Even the hotel staff was drawn in. Curiously, they would peek into the conference room’s wide-eye in wonder. “What’s going on in there? What’s this conference all about?” They’d inquire.
Ah! Don’t you love it when God draws others in such a way that it causes them to ask, “What’s it all about it and how can I be a part of it?” Many hotel workers and staff took time from their busy schedules to enter into our prayer room and meet with God.
Remarkably, that’s what our Speaker/Writer Conference is all about. Don’t miss understand me. Sure, we teach others how to be a better speaker, how to write a book, and market themselves. BUT, our main purpose is to make God known as we were challenged to do Saturday night by our guest speaker, Jennifer Rothschild.
Proverbs 31 Ministries wants women to experience God in a deeper way. We want them NOT to pursue ministry but rather pursue God. Why? Because true ministry is birthed out of our relationship with God. That’s freedom, girls!
We don’t have to work at it, compete in it, or wonder what God wants from us when we’re seeking Him. When you and I are seeking the Lord, we’ll find ourselves on the path of His plan and purpose for our lives. And here’s the cool thing…nothing on earth or under earth can prevent God’s plan from happening. Nothing!
The bible tells us that God’s plans alone stand. That’s confidence for when we’re in the wait, girls. Though it may seem like the speaking engagements will never come or our book will never be published, remember it’s all in God’s timing. That’s how it has worked for me.
I spoke for eight years before I had my own book published. However, while I was in the wait, I had articles and devotionals published. I also co-authored three books. It’s true. God’s timing is not always our timing. But, this we know… His promises are certain, and when we’re ready they are delivered right on time.
Come back this week. I have many She Speak stories to share with you! Now…go make God known today!

Bless you for opening up for God to ignite you with His fire and light. What an amazing communicator He has in you to bless us all. Yes, the conference did focus on the main thing: Relationship with the King of Kings!!!
You are God's wonderful gift for me to thrive and live in spite of the sudden widow life that I'm now living. Last year you were one of the main lifesavers God threw to me in that turbulent sea of firsts.
Be blessed as you are a blessing.

You are such a precious, sweet, and passionate sister! I am so glad God lead me to She Speaks this year and that I got the opporunity to hear you speak! As I told you at the conference… I am going to be a faithful follower of the journey God is bringing you on!

What I have told my husband for two years in a row is that what I love about She Speaks is that it is about God first and the speaking/writing/blogging/women's ministry aspects second. I can feel God's presence there because in all hnoesty, He is invited and wholeheartedly welcomed there.
I've been for two years in a row and fully plan on making 2010 year number three! Thank you ladies for having the vision that you do. It truly makes HIs name known!

Micca, Great words! I would have to echo the comments – truly the best conference I've ever attended! And like you say it truly drew people to the heart of God and that's where it all begins. I'm still processing all that touched me, not sure if I'll ever accomplish that task though! Thank you so much for all you do for all of us – greatly appreciated!! I pray God blesses your day, Jill

Just the words I needed to be reminded of as I try to make my descent back into reality. I am so very thankful that I was able to be in your evaluation group and be so immersed in love and encouragement. Someone asked me about the conference and all I could say was, "It was like God took my face in His hands, gazed directly at me and said, 'I love you so very much!'" Thank you, Micca, for all you did that made this an experience I will never forget.

Beautiful post. The Lord has chosen now for my time to be published and He has kept me busy. Just finished number two.
When the time comes we need jogging shoes to keep up. 😀
You are right about God wanting us to have a deeper relationship with Him. That makes all the difference in our journeys through life.
Blessings! Nancy J Locke

Micca,
I just wanted to thank you for your speaking in your "Fear Not" session, Friday night.
I walked out of dinner early because of nerves and being overtired, I was feeling horrible.
I found the prayer room, and lo and behold, my name was placed by Jehovah-Rapha. I bawled like a baby… I had the room to myself, so I didn't feel self conscious about it. I told God I was just going to skip your session and go to my room and sleep before speaker evals. Especially since i had just finished your book with Lelia, online.
God had other things in mind. To get to my room I had to walk past your meeting room. Needless to say, I ended up in there, sitting near the door, "just in case" I was feeling bad. 2 different people prayed with me, and I was able to get through the session (more than get through, get a lot out of it) and was able to make it through speaker evals too.
It's amazing how God meets us, isn't it!
Thank you for serving and making a difference in this gal's life.
God bless,
Heather

Micca,
I attended your Fear Not session and loved every second. I did not actually feel God's call until the second night…I thought I was just there because our women's ministry director invited me. God spoke to me loud and clear during the second eval night, so it was with a new perspective that I reread the fill in sheet from your session. Definitely anointed words.
Thank you for sharing about the hotel staff going into the prayer room. I found myself praying for them during the meals and the main sessions, that God would bless them with the desire to find out more.
Looking forward to next year!

Micca,
I just have started sharing some of my stories about She Speaks, and I finally was able to write in more details about how your session on Friday night, and the prayer room changed my weekend.
God used you! He used the whole P31 team. What a blessing!
Here is a link to my specific post…
God bless you!
