You make me feel normal! I had a suspension that many feared the unknown, but your response to my devotion, Fearing the Unknown, has caught me by surprise. In fact, so many of you have tried to visit my site that it shut down temporarily. That’s a good problem to have!
As a speaker and author, I feel encouraged that God is using my message to comfort you and strengthen your faith. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than that! I love helping others Fear Less and Live More!
Sooooo, I’m extending my book give-away through the weekend!! I’ve decided to give away 3 more copies! Why? Because I want you to have a chance to embrace freedom from fear!
Since I promised to give-away a one-year subscription to P31 Woman on Friday, I’ll keep that promise as well. That means there will be two give-away’s going on at the same time! What girl doesn’t love free stuff??? Not one!
Be sure and tell your friends. Tweet about it and put the give-away on your blog too!
To enter to win, leave a comment on this post. To read the post following my devotion, click here.
Good-luck!

Your article was a blessing because i have been going through so much, there are many changes in my life and my childrens and i am very fearful of how and what is going to happen, how about this and that..My mind has been going bizzar and i’m under a lot of stress because i don’t know what can happen, dont have anyone to share my true feelings so when your article came out it really ministered to me; im needing a word directly from God and you were there for me. Thank You sooooo much…Many Blessings to your staff and family….

I love coming to your blog and checking out what you have to say. I have a fear of my own right now, waiting for biopsy results. As much as I trust in God for good results, my flesh still struggles. Thanks for all your uplifting comments and blogs.

Micca,
I read your devo a day late, but it was write on target! The Lord has spoken to me about my lack of trust in Him. I’ve known theses truths for so long, but I’ve never really given all my fears to the Lord. Isaiah 43:1-3, are scriptures that the Lord brings me back to time and again.
I ask for your prayers as I walk through the valley of chronic pain with my husband. Sometimes I fear what the future will bring, but I know the one who holds, my future.
Thank you again for your words of encouragement.
God is good all the time! All the time God is good!

We have been on a long journey with my husbands health. He is now on disability and we are living on a shoestring while caring for my 88 year old mother. I find myself living in a fear factor at times. I know that is not what the Lord wants. So I struggle to set those feelings aside with a daily gratitude I write and it works….your devotional really gave me a lot to journal about. Thanks so much for sharing in such a personal way.
Love,
Donna Godfrey

Micca,
I’ve been through some serious life events which pushed my faith and forced me to trust the Lord. These experiences provide Spiritual encouragement when we meet others who need to hear about trusting. Just the other day, my sister emailed that there is something in her life (or her family’s life) she wants me to pray about but she was not ready to talk about it. So here I have an unknown of what the situation could be, yet it helps me “generically” address the issues of the power of prayer and the assurance that we can trust God to handle everything because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I forwarded yesterdaysday’s Encouragement for Today, “Fearing the Unknown”, which was a great testimony of what I believe. Thank you. I would be overjoyed if I were the winner of your book.

I already left a comment regarding wanting a copy of your wonderful book. The subject matter fits the biggest stumbling block in my Christian life to a T, and would love to overcome my fears from my anxiety/panic attacks. Thank you for writing this book! Even if I am not blessed with winning, I will get a copy when finances permit.
I also wanted to enter for a free subscription to the PS 31 magazine. I have gotten so much encouragement from you, and the other devotions I get daily, that I can only imagine how much the magazine has to offer! I would love to be blessed with that prize. Even if I am not though, I know we will continue to be blessed by your devotions and this blog, so thank you Micca!
Heidi says
Oooops! I am a bit too early for this one I just saw! Sorry! I will enter again tomorrow 🙂

I just wanted to say how touched again I was by your devotional yesterday, and sadly my subscription to Proverbs 31 ran out I guess last month. Strange because I expected a renewal form or something. Thankfully my boss gets it and I was able to see the picture of you, Peyton, and Hitomi. I can’t wait until she is finished so I can read it! 🙂

Thank you for the opportunity to win a subscription to P31 and/or your book!

Everything you wrote in the first chapter is all me. I worry to the point that I go to bed at 11, yet fall asleep till 2. I just got an ultrasound done to see why I have been having so much stomach pain. They found nothing!! I know though it’s caused by my fears and worries, just like you said. Im 25, have a little 3 yr old and fear failure in my marriage and worry so much about my parents economic stability. These are fears that just creep in my head. Your right, my fears and constant worrying reflect my insufficient trust in my Abba Father. Thank you for this note/ devo. I know this was intended for me at this very moment.
Jaymie says
Keeping my fingers crossed. Would love to get a copy of the book! =-)

I’d love the P31 magazine!!

Hi Micca,
I was able to post woo hooo. I read your blog and it helped me tremendously because I struggle with this alot!! Especially with my children and what happens to them I was living near family and moved into another city with my spouse I started to attend my childhood church again and then we moved. Well its a long story but my husband was studying to become a jehovahs witness before we moved. So when we moved I had just had our son and since we have had another baby boy.. I noticed in the past that the more I went to church the more he filled his life with studies as they call them.. So out of fear my children would become jehovahs witnesses I havent started going to church because he says once I start going he is going to go back to the kingdom hall…This really scares me because its my kids I want them to know about jesus and have a relationship and want them to grow spiritually but just to avoid him wanting to take them with him and constantly battle me with teaching them about salvation..long story your blog helped me because I cant control their future but I can be an example and ultimately I need to trust God.. Thank you For entering me into the contest.

It has been a tough year, many twists and turns and lots of uncertainty. I know there is something around the bend, I just can’t see it yet and that is scary. Your devo pierced my heart, it reminded me I am not alone and God’s got this under control, despite how out of control it looks to me.

Your devotions always give me something to think about. To have less fear in my life would be wonderful, yet sometimes I think it’s not possible. Then I come along your posts and start thinking–yes, it is possible and it’s up to me to totally trust Him. Sounds so simple, but us women just sometimes get in the way of ourselves! I would love to win a copy of your book. If I do win, I will pass it on to others as I would love for others to have that freedom as well. Thanks for the opportunity to put my name in the hat! Keep on writing so others will be blessed!

I’m so excited that you extended the giveaway! This is the 2nd time I’ve entered… When I read your devotion the other day, it really hit me hard that I have been living in fear. There are things that God has called me to do and I have been holding back because of my own fear of failure, success, whichever it may be on any given day. I’m thankful for women like you who put yourselves “out there” and touch others’ lives on a daily basis. May God bless you as He continues to use you!!

The past year, due to circumstances beyond my control, I have struggled with fear and anxiety to a degree I have never before experienced (although I have certainly been through stressful situations in the past). I know that God is using this time to work on me (to get me to trust him completely) and I consider that a blessing, but it is such a hard process to go through. What helps is knowing that other women go through the same thing. I would love to have a copy of your book. And, even more, I appreciate you and the other women that comment here so that we know we are not alone in this journey.

I for one, struggle with fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure (a biggie), fear of having such a full plate at times it is too much to eat….I for one, have always held on the the analogy of “The wizard of Oz” I have a heart (had an e.k.g. and stress performed), I have brains, (I have had an e.e.g. performed to prove it), and now, the Lion..poor lion, without courage, he has nothing he often felt. In fact, he had the courage with in him the entire time, just as we have Christ with us. So often we allow fear to grab us and allow it to dominate our lives. I am grateful for proverbs 31 ministry and for all of my sisters, thank you for encouraging us all through your words.
God Bless you and all of our Sisters walking in FAITH.

Thank you for allowing God to use you to be a blessing to other women. I know all too much what fear can do. My husband of 28 yrs suddenly walked out on me and my daughter to persue a relationship with a homosexual man. God is faithful but it is a daily fight to take captive the fear and thoughts that satan puts in my mind. Your devotionals help me to look to God for strength to go on and know that HE WILL NEVER LEAVE ME!!

Boy would I love to read that book! It couldn’t come at a better time! Having the fears and going thru tough stretches of life is the easy part, knowing what to do with them in a godly way in another. I really need to read that one and winning would be a blessing!

Hi, Micca. I read your bio with tears, but was so encouraged to hear how much grace God has given you to endure your loss. I would love to receive a copy of your book. In February, I had the sixth surgery for a health issue that I’ve had for 12 years. Each previous surgery has been unsuccessful, and I’ve had many complications with this one. My doctor’s partner has said this one has most likely failed, too, due to the symptoms I’m having. I will find out for sure on Thursday when my doctor returns from vacation. As one who is trying to get over her fears with the Lord’s help, I seek Godly resources whenever I can. If this current surgery doesn’t work, there are no other options for physical healing. God is working on my anxiety and patience as I face having this problem permanently. I find much comfort in “The heart of man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps” (Prov. 16:9) because I know God is in control of my life, not me. I encourage you to read “Trusting God Even When Life Hurts” by Jerry Bridges and “Taking Time to Quiet Your Soul” by Jim Berg to help you in your ministry. These definitely should be Bible Study 101 for everyone, and I can’t recommend them enough.
Kathy says
I truly enjoy your blog and your ministry. I would be honored to win a copy of your book.
